Oz the Great and Powerful is a prequel to the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz. Oz the Great and Powerful is about a magician Oscar Diggs, played by James Franco. He gets swept into a tornado and meets Theodora, a witch played by Mila Kunis. Then Theodora drags him to the Emerald City where he meets Evanora, the Wicked Witch of the East played by Rachel Weisz. Evanora tricks him into capturing Glenda the good witch played by Michelle Williams. Composer Danny Elfman does a great job with the music. James Franco does not do well in this role. He just didn’t fit the part. The 3D was amazing. Zach Braff as the monkey was really good.
